Education during and in post-conflict Situations.
Communities undergoing economic recovery from long periods of conflicts have unique socio-economic setbacks. Among the most destructive to education is poverty and unstable families leading to poor child development, drop-outs, health needs and psychosocial breakdown.
In northern Uganda, Children and youth of school going age had limited access to education for more than 20 years due to civil conflict which also accounts for the high rates of the population who cannot read and write.
Our Approach
Our intervention targets four major components to improve capacity of school administrators, Parents and teachers to promote transparency and accountability in the education sector policy monitoring and implementation.
